Colloidal goitre, is simple non-toxic goitre in which gland is enlarged but thyroid function are normal and most commonly seen in iodine deficiency. 2. since it is there for last 3 years, thus might have become firm with multinodular [which again is non toxic]. 3. Since compression changes occur rarely, even then make sure there is no difficulty in eating or breathing. 4. since test reports says benign [thyroid function norma, and there is enlargement of gland only, thus thyroxine is the drug of choice [since there is no alternate to hormone in any -pathy] 5. As the cause of colloidal goitre is iodine deficiency, thus in Ayurveda according to the principle of sarvada sarv bhavanam , iodine containing drugs like shigru, jalkumbhi, trikatu should be advsied. . You may ask for prescription medicine like: kanchnaar guggul, shigru patra kwath, traiya ushna adi lauha, trikatu churan navkarshik guggul. PS. Regarding Surity . patient should be followed up for hypothyroidism . it is effective in young patients with soft diffuse goitre with short duration of enlargement .
