How To Treat Chronic Tonsillitis?

I have had tonsillitus every month about twice a month since i was 8. im now 19.I am female i weigh about 60kg. just recently I have gotten tonsillitus again but this time my tonsils ache so does the roof of my mouth I keep having nightmares and feel so tired constantly that i feel as though I will pass out. I run a fever every now and again and my head feels heavy and sore. I also have a cough and have to clear my throat constantly or I cant breath properly or speak. Also a few weeks ago I noticed a hole in my right tonsil. Will my ent doctor finally take them out? And is this just tonsilitus?

hello, thanks for your query, tonsillitis episodes since from the age of 8 years should be managed with tonsillectomy. chronic tonsillitis can go for peritonsillar abscess or neck abscess which may lead to an emergency. go ahead for the surgery. all the best. take care.
