Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, recently I have felt tight in my chest (a bit short of breath) and my eyes are a bit sore. I occasionally have a headache and sometimes my joints are a bit sore as well.
I'm not in a lit of discomfort, and don't have a fever - but am a bit concerned as my chest has now felt like this for a couple of weeks.
Regarding your concern, I would explain that it is important perform a comprehensive differential diagnosis of different causes that may lead to this clinical scenario:
- A viral infection, could cause breathing problems and sore eyes.
- An inflammatory disorder could also lead to these symptoms.
I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- a resting ECG - a chest X ray study - some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose, blood electrolytes including calcium plasma levels).
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Greetings!
Dr. Iliri
