How To Treat Broken Blood Vessels From Foot Towards Ankle?

I have had "broken blood vessels"-according to my doctor--since 1995 when I stood in line for 3 hours. sorry--the area is from my foot and up my ankle for about 6 inches. Gradually it has been getting darker and darker red. She told me to take a baby aspirin a day--which I have for a year. I am about 100 pounds overweight and have a sedentary job and lifestyle.I know the ideal thing to do would be to lose weight. However, the issue that is my immediate concern is that on one leg-on the shin, there is a tiny hole that appeared a couple of days ago. I left it alone and it did scab over. I've been trying to find pictures of periferal aterial disease online, but can't find any. You also might want to know that I have tested negative for diabetes. Another symptom is that my feet are numb all the time. I have controlled high blood pressure. I am 58-year old female.
