How To Treat A Painless Sore Besides The Tonsil?

Hi, i have a painless sore in throat in front of right tonsil, white patches appear on sore after eating, and bleed if white patch removed with cotton swab. Surrounding area of sore is red. Swallowing causes only mild discomfort. Also, feeling of a swollen lymph node in right side of neck under jaw. Right ear blocks after eating, takes a few hours to clear. Have taken a course of eryhtromycin, no improvement. 32 yo male, smoker for 16 years, diagnosed with gerd a year ago.

As per your query you have swollen tonsils which is leading to tonsillitis which is causing pain in throat and spreading it to ear, neck, jaw due to infection of swollen lymph nodes. I would suggest you to consult ENT Specialist as you will require thorough evaluation. You should take combination of antibiotic along with decongestants. You need anti-inflammatory medication as well. You should incorporate some lifestyle changes like avoid spicy, fried and oily food. Avoid cold beverages. Get adequate rest and do salt water gargles several times a day. Drink Warm liquids like tea or warm water with honey. You should no smoke at all if you do. You can go for tonsillectomy as well after proper prescription by doctor if condition reoccur frequently.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
