How To Treat A Concussion?

Hi my mom hit her head earlier today riding her motorcycle, on someone s car and I think she may have a concussion theres a bump forming just behind her ear on her head. I just want to know what I should do because we re not near any emergency room and I don t think and hope its not that bad. Should she be allowed to sleep at all?

Hi. If you have concerns that your mum may have concussion, and she has a swelling behind her ear, along with the question of her intent to go to sleep, I think it is best if she were to be check out in her nearest Emergency Department as a priority. It may well be that she is fine, but I think there may be a risk of a significant head injury if you have concerns over concussion. It would not be a risk I would want to take. I hope this helps.
