How To Treat A Chalazion On The Right Upper Eyelid?

I have had a chalazion on my right upper eyelid for 2 months now. I have used hot compresses, warm Epsom salt solution, sty ointment and nothing seems to help. It seems to shrink after a nights sleep. I've thought about witch hazel...are there any more recommendations

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that you are having chalazion of the right upper eyelid. The treatment in the initial stages is by hot compression and antibiotic eye ointment and antiinflammatory drugs as you done.
Since it has not responded the next treatment is by injection of long acting steroids like traimcinolone directly into the lesion or by incision and curettage.
Since both are invasive procedures they need to be done by eye doctor, hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
