How To Treat A Blood Blister On My Forearm?

Hi! I am diabetic and I have a blood blister on my right forearm and I m not sure whether to pop it and clean it or to get it checked it out by my doctor. What should i do? It has a little lump under it and when I push on it the lump goes away for a minute.

The most probable diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle.It can be treated with topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin.You must avoid pricking or fiddling with the lesion.Short course of antibiotics like Azithromycin might also help. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
