How To Treat A 2 Year Old Child After Stomach Infection Causing Vomiting And Loose Stools?

2 and half year old little girl with stomach bug for the last week. Been to doctor twice with her, including once today. Vomiting and diarrhea on Monday, Diarrhea on Tuesday. Ok Wed so introduced solids. Thursday vomiting and runny stools after eating and having milk and yogurt. Doctor stated I introduced dairy too quick. Today she got sick a little too and took her to the doctor and she said let her drink and eat when she can. She's not dehydrated but its so so difficult to get drinks into her. She is sleeping a lot also all day. I've tried the ice pops, lucozade and other drinks, no interest, she has sipped during the day that's it. Any advice on how to get a drink into her during the day.

Hi...it seems your kid is having acute watery diarrhea. Unless she's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. But in these your kid is excessively sleepy...suggesting dehydration...I suggest you consult a pediatrician...Happy to help anytime. If my answer has helped you...kindly rate it.
