How To Treat Graves Disease?

i have a under active thyroid that never stays stable i struggle everyday with it and got diagnosed last yr i have graves disease....im gaing weight after i had lost alot of weight im depressed and frustrated with it what do u recommend for a fast detox

Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Due to under active thyroid, you are possibly having hypothyroidism.
2. You will need thyroxine levels correction. Slow increase and titration of thyroxine is necessary.
3. Weight gain is commonly due to hypothyroidism, which can also cause depression.
4. Do not go for a fast detox. Thyroid hormones, in excess can be dangerous. Slow increase to manage symptoms is essential. Along with weight reduction in future, thyroxine requirement will also be reduced and hence dose reduction would be necessary.
5. Need to avoid goitrogens like cassava, soy beans, etc and also certain medications like phenytoin. Always discuss with your doctor during prescription of medications for interaction with thyroxine.
