How To Treat Ecoli Coondition?

a recent pap smear returned an unusual result showing Ecoli ! I recently had an oophrectomy of stage 4 endo. Could the operation have caused ecoli from the bowel to somehow leak into the cervical area as the endo had encompassed part of my bowel and was very difficult to remove from the bowel apparently. I have also been left with suspected endo on left ureter in two places and possibly endo in / on kidney ?

Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query in details .

* Usually antibiotics are not recommended for E.coli infection because
that may increase the risk of serious complications .

* And many strains of ESBL E.coli are resistant to antibiotics .

* Management is supportive with fluid , electrolyte management ,
supportive care , blood transfusions and hemodialysis in case of
severe infections .

Hope this will help to clear your doubt .

Wishing you fine recovery .
Welcome for any further guidance .

Regards .
