How To Test For HIV Infection?

I gave oral sex to a female. I m worried in case I have contracted HiV. We didn t have sex but I do have mild gum disease. ( sometimes bleed when I brush) I hadn t brushed my teeth in the previous 6 hours when i gave her oral sex. The front of my gums never bleed it just the backs of the gums sometimes do including the front ones. What is the risk of hiv from this ? Is it very unlikely even if the woman had hiv. I didn t notice any blood from her so don t think she was on her period. Thanks

Hi dear User and thank you for using HCM service.

It is known that a person can get HIV infection by fluids like blood, semen and vaginal fluids. Even with oral sex, it can occur and the risk is higher if one of the couple has mucous lesions.

Clinic manifestations of HIV infection, appear after a period of incubation, which sometimes is long. But symptoms during the first time are not common.

I strongly recommend you to be preventive, HIV test can be done after a sexual relation with risk, after a few weeks (3-4) in order to have a secure result
.
Inform yourself about your sexual partner. Do both of you a HIV test, and then you would be safe.

Remember HIV is not a game.

Hoping to be useful to you
