Hallow Dear,
Since the
pregnancy is just 6 weeks duration, she can definitely terminate the pregnancy by medicines. Though WHO has given different two regimes for termination at this stage of pregnancy, I would recommend you the following regime:
Tab. Mifepristone to be followed after 24-48 hours by Tab.
Misoprostol. Usually the
abortion takes place within 24 hours; however, delay up to 7 days also has been noted. The completeness of abortion should be confirmed by
ultrasonography. A follow up visit to Obstetrician after 7 days of last tablet is advocated.
These medicines are prescription medicines. They should be bought and taken only by Obstetrician's advice under observation. A well equipped follow up medical facility center is necessary. In India, online prescriptions are illegal; hence please get the prescription from some local Obstetrician of your knowledge.
These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby; hence in case of failure of these medicines, the decision should not be reverted to continuation of pregnancy. In such event, pregnancy should be terminated by surgical methods like MVA aspiration or so.
I hope this will guide you appropriately.
