How To Stop The Periods?

Hi, I am looking at getting the depo provera injection to help with heavy bleeding during my period. I am going on holiday for 7 weeks and I don t want my period ruining it. In the past I have taken norethistetone for the bleeding but they completely stop my period which is great but I don t think I can take norethistetone forever. What are your thoughts?

Hello,

Depo provera injection can be used to reduce or stop your periods for up to three months. However, when you stop the medication, there may be heavy or irregular periods for some time thereafter. Also, it may delay your return to fertility by a couple of months.

All the best.
