Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Ice contains methamphetamine which is highly addictive. The craving is very strong and people develop tolerance quickly. That is why, you notice that you need it more frequently and the usual dose does not give as good a high as before. I am glad that you have realized that you are gradually getting hooked and are trying to keep things under control. But please understand that the only way you can win is to give it up completely. Occasional use is not an option for this drug. Try going away on weekends to places where you do not know the suppliers. It will take a few months for the craving to go away completely, provided you are abstinent.

All the best!
