How To Stabilize Low Platelet Count In Body?

Hi, my infant baby boy is 3.5kgs and is 11weeks, 3months tomorw. last week appeard rashes on his face, went to hospital, and found out he had low platelet blood cells. They then checked his bone marrow and everything was fine. But after attempting about 26 times to find his vein they endd up puting him to sleep to get the vein through his neck, as that was successful, they then put the IVG (i think) drips through him, but jst before that, they had to do a blood tranfursion due to loss of blood from all the blood he lost from the Drs trying to find his Veins...he is now recoverin and the spots on his faces and his body are getting better, and also, we're out from hospital now as his blood levels were iimproving, but will be going back to the lab to do blood checks..My questions is, because this is uncommon at his age, will it come again?and will there be any affect on his bone marrow in the future?or if this is treated, it could get his platelets back to normal and will never happen again? Just to let you know, I had him wen i was 39 weeks. His spots on his faces are improving though, but my main concern is, will this damage anything for him in the future, thank you

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Possible ITP could be the cause secondary to viral infection. The viral infection led to production of antibodies, which caused low platelet count.
2. the possibilities are low of recurrence in future. After any viral infection, if there is associate increased bleeding, purpura or petechiae, platelet count needs to be evaluated.
3. No damage for anything in future. As it is not chronic, not to worry.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
