DOB 08/06/1924 5 tall. 114# Stage 3 ckd. need reverse total replacement of shoulder. Stage 3 rotator cuff bilateral - left -unable to use lerft arm. Right is probably 50-70% functional. James Shankwiler,M.D. ortho-indicated that this is finally needed. I am a NIDDIABETIC- controlled with diet and 0.5 - 1.0 mgm prandin ac. I am a retired urologist-age 87 with stage 3 CKD & HTN - AZILSARTAN 80 mgm qd & lasix 20 mgm qd. lipitor 10 mgm qod. what are the risks from mt dx s thanks J Chinn, M.D.
Reverse shoulder arthroplasty is done for Rotator cuff tears of the shoulder with arthrosis and also weakness of Deltoid muscle. Complications can include infection, component loosening, fracture, displacement or dislocation of components.
Reverse shoulder arthroplasty is done when there is Rotator cuff tear with shoulder arthrosis and deltoid weakness. Complications include fracture, infection, component loosening and displacement. Kindly get the Renal function tests done and Anaesthetic approval because the Anaesthesia required usually is General anaesthesia so Renal function needs to be monitored.
