How To Remove Sebaceous Cysts On The Back Of Thigh?

I have 2 sebaceous cysts that came up overnight on Sunday on the back of my thigh. They were both tender but not too bad. I have had them before and was treating them with hot compresses. Today however one of them seems to have burst because I sat down on the toilet and when I got up there was dark red, almost black blood on the seat and pain from that area. When I reached back I felt wetness and came back with more blood on my fingers. Should I go see a Dr and get these drained?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The lesions on back of thigh have to be clinical assessed to know the nature of the lesion.
Since the cysts have burst clinical assessment is necessary.
Sebaceous cysts are formed due to accumulation of secretions in sebaceous glands.
Since, the lesions are painful there is a possibility of boils or if there is sebaceous cyst it has got infected.
The bursting of cyst must have led to an open wound which needs to be dressed.
I suggest you to consult a primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.
If the other lesion turns out to be sebaceous cyst, it has to be surgically excised.

Thanks and take care
