How To Remove Painful Bump From Butt Crack?

Hi I am seventeen and I have sever discomfort when I sit on my bottom it hurts more towards the upper part. I felt in between my cheeks and there is a medium size bump that is quite hard and hurts really bad to the touch. I thought it might be an in grown hair but i just want to know if it will go away on it s own. And avoid going to the doctor. There s also a thin red line down the center of my butt crack but no visible markings on the bump it s self (that I could see in an awkward position) thank you if you have any help to offer hurts really bad and is only getting worse

Hi

Thanks for your query

Seems like you have developed folliculitis in the groin.

Now firstly I would advise you to keep the area clean and dry as much as possible.
Do not apply any kind of moisturizing creams/lotions or oil over the affected area.
Wear cotton undergarments so as to decrease the amount of sweating.
Clean the area with lukewarm water twice a day and apply an antibiotic cream like mupirocin gel over the area twice daily.

If inspite of the above measures, the lesion persists or continues to increase in size, then you might need a course of oral antibiotics along with pain killers.

In that case, I would advise you to visit a dermatologist for proper assessment and treatment.

Hope it helps
Best wishes for a speedy recovery
