How To Remove Dry Patch On Lower Back Permanently?

I have a dry patch of skin on my lower back above butt, right where I was hit by a car over 10 years ago. It is not itchy or painful. It looks like it s discolored/black and blue. Creams help to soften it if I keep using them. But when I stop, it comes back. What can I do to permanently remove it and regain the normal skin color?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

It happens due to hyperkeratinization and we have to soften it up and you need longtime continued treatment for the same.

If I was your treating physician I would have prescribed you Triamcinolone acetonide ointment to apply on the lesion and continue until it goes away. The skin color can surely come back to normal but that will be secondary thing. First, I suggest you to please use this ointment and follow-up after sometime with a Picture of the lesion area. I will help you out for skin discoloration treatment accordingly.

Hope I answered all of your health concerns . If you have further questions in future, feel free to contact me anytime & I will get back to you in no time. Please give a positive feedback.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
