How To Reduce Twitching At The Top Of Earlobe?

My husband s left ear has been twitching at the top of the ear lobe for several weeks with no relief. It is worse at night when/if he lays on it while trying to sleep. I say trying to sleep because it has been keeping him up at night. He went to our pcp and was given an allergy shot with hopes that it would help but it hasn t given him any relief as of yet. Help!

I will be concerned about his blood pressure status?

Get his blood pressure, blood sugar and lipids levels tested. Sometimes it happens due to some systemic disease ( one more is also related and known as Tourette syndrome). We have to rule out depression, as it may also cause it. His physician may rule it out.

Does he smoke??
if yes, say to quit it.

No sodas, and no caffeinated drinks at all.


Consult an Ottorhinolaryngologist for option of injecting Botulinum toxin (Botox) to relieve twitchings.
