hi,
Thank you for your query, and i understand your concern. Glad if my suggestions could be of help to you.
Your sugar count is fine, but try to maintain in a range within 200. Also consider an option for injectable insulin instead of your 2 oral drugs after meeting up with your physician.
Regarding your diet , your consumtion of vegetables, fruits and water is a good plan but try and avoid few fruits which are high in sugar and calories like Banana, Mango, Dried Fruits, Figs and cherries.
Consider fruits like sweet lime, papaya, strawberries, apples and guava which have low sugar content.
If you are not able to give time for exercise , a diet plan of 1800-2000 calories is good assuming you are of moderate weight.
Follow this diet plan for 2-3 months and keep a check on your sugar levels as well.
for breakfast - 2-3 slices of brown bread
1 bowl of breakfast cereal of your choice with 1 cup milk(avoid sugar)
(or) 1 bowl of oats cooked with skimmed milk without sugar
1 fruit ( the ones with low sugar content)
for lunch - 1 bowl of cooked/ raw vegetable salad
2 Roti / Ragi pudding with sprouted grams curry (1 bowl)
1 cup buttermilk (helps your satiety)
if you are a non vegetarian ,red meat once a week should be fine.
evening snacks - low sugar, low calorie biscuits (2 ) with sugarless coffee/tea/milk
for dinner - you can follow the lunch menu or modify it according your regional food of low calories.
keep a routine check on your sugar levels atleast once in two days, follow the diet and get back to me if you need further assistance.
hope this helps you lose weight . Wish you good results and a great health.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Metformin should help with your weight loss efforts but glimepiride is in a family of drugs associated with weight gain. You may want to speak to your doctor to see if any changes can be made regarding this particular medication.

You may want to make sure the fruits that you are using are not high carbohydrate fruits that may also affect weight loss.
If so, it would be best to eliminate them and use salads and vegetables for now with your meals.

Eliminate any sodas (unless diet sodas) or fruit juices.
Avoid any high carbohydrate foods.

I hope this helps
