How To Prevent Recurring Infection In Hair Follicle Near Armpit?

I believe I had an infection in a hair follicle near my armpit.

It seems to be going away...but when I first terated with peroxide and then squeezed it, it sort of work but now there is still a bump there.

How can I make sure I do not get an infection?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a lump in the armpit the has started regressing in size can due to hair follicle infection or a swollen lymph node..
As both these conditions resolve gradually yoy need not to worry as it will resolve soon..

You should take a course of antibiotics like Cephalexin or Amoxicillin..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Do warm compresses over the lump.
Avoid scratching it touching it again and again as it can get further infected and tender..
In case if there is no improvement in a week consult a General Physician and get evaluated..
