How To Prevent Recurrence Of Mucus Discharge From Anus?

For several months I have experienced infrequent trace amounts of fecal/mucus matter from my anus. I am
way overdue for a colonoscopy (am 68 yo female) and absolutely dread this procedure. Is there anything I
can do to help prevent this occurrence of residue? Thank you so very much.

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be the due to amoebic colitis, intolerance to certain foods, like milk and milk products, wheat, barley etc.
I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have gastroscopy, ultrasound, and other blood tests for confirmation.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms mikacin injection500mg ,ofloxaci, ornidazole, ranitidine, and lactic acid bacilli.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
