How To Overcome Severe Pain In Hip After Overstretching During Splits?

Hi, I was doing the splits a couple months ago and think I overstretched. There was a really loud popping sound in my hip and it started hurting so much. I got out of the splits and ever since then have had pain in my butt whenever I stretch. I have been resting and not stretching too much, but it hasn t gotten any better...?

Hello,

Thanks for the query.

I had gone through the case and it might be either due to nerve pulling by overstretching and causes muscle spasm or any Lumbar or sacral vertebrae slip disc.

I will advise you to go for MRI of vertebrae to know the cause and meanwhile take rest and do not bend forward.

Hope it will be effective for you and i will be glad to answer your query.

Thanks,
