Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How To Manage Spinal Stenosis Induced Back And Leg Pain?
I have spinal stenosis and my back and legs bother me a lot. I have had two epidurels and it really hasn't helped. I HAVE ALSO HAD PHYSICAL THERAPY AND STILL DO MY EXERCISES. I am a senior and do not think I coauld have a back operation, Looking FOR A DOCTOR WHO COULD HELP ME.
I am so sorry to hear about this back stenosis and the pains this has caused you. It is rather unfortunate that you may not want surgery but I will like to let you know that this is the best solution to this problem. Unless your surgeon has made it expressly clear that you can not undergo this surgery for other reasons, I will advise that you strongly consider to. There is just no way to liberate nerves and help you have a pain free life without undoing this stenosis.
If you cannot do that, there is really no big promise you can get out there. Drugs and physical therapy would not be sufficient in severe disease states. I will suggest that you revisit your surgeon for more assessment.
I hope this helps and wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
