How To Manage Contraction During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 24 weeks pregnant. In my latest check-up yesterday, my obgyn has prescribed me with Primolut depot (once/weekly for 4 weeks) since I have been feeling contractions. These contractions are painless, but occur very frequently. FYI, I am a CPD case and my obgyn said she'd like to relax the uterus hence the prescription. This is my 5th pregnancy, had one miscarriage (2nd pregnancy), and all 3 of my kids were delivered through c-sects. I have been on duphaston throughout my 1st trimester as I had spotting then.

Please let me know your thoughts on this...if the injection is safe and what are the possible causes for the contractions and what should I do to manage the situation. Many thanks.

Hi, thanks for writing..
It is better to take the injection to prevent preterm labour.. Initially contractions will be painless. Pain will be experienced during strong contraction. It would be better to prevent such contraction as this can also cause cervical dilatation..Lie in left lateral position. take adequate rest.. Avoid heavy exercise.. Take inj betnesol 2 doses for fetal lung maturation. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
