Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Improper cleaning habits leads to plague and calculus deposition which leads to caries , gingivitis and abscess formation.

Selection of proper toothbrush is very important in maintaining a good oral health .
According to the teeth size and gum health you can select from soft , ultrasoft , medium and hard toothbrushes available in the market. Brush the teeth twice daily .

Use 0.2% of chlorhexidine mouthwash gargles twice daily.

Develop a habit of using dental floss and interdental cleaners.

Get complete mouth scaling and polishing in every six months .

Avoid eating sticky foodstuffs or if used gargle your mouth with water .
Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated .

Hope this helps out.

Regards...

hello there,

Improper brushing of the teeth and flossing in between the teeth leads to food lodgement and bacterial decomposition .

This leads to bacterial decay of the teeth , deposition of bacterial plaque and calculus deep in the gum pockets and root sur faces of the teeth leads to gingival inflammation , redeness, bleeding gums , recession and sensitivity.

If not treated in time the condition may progress to tooth mobility an exfoiliation.

so to prevent all these , regular tooth brushing with soft or medium tooth brush and flossing in between the tooth is needed.

maintain good oral hygiene, use lukewarm saline water or antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine or betaine for regular oral rinsing.

go for professional scaling of the teeth every 6 months to mainatin good oral health.

i hope this information helps,

take care.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Brush at least twice a day
Take your time while brushing. Spend at least 2 or 3 minutes each time you brush.
Be sure your toothbrush has soft bristles
Learn how to floss your teeth, which is a very important way to keep them healthy.
You can also brush your tongue to help keep your breath fresh!
It's also important to visit the dentist twice a year. Besides checking for signs of cavities or gum disease, the dentist will help keep your teeth extra clean and can help you learn the best way to brush and floss.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

Hi..Here i would like to give some important tips that you must follow:
1.Have a dental check up once in sixth month.
2.Rinse your mouth with cold water for about 30 seconds to get out of any teeth problem.
3.Proper selection of tooth-brush as well as tooth-paste.
4.Start brushing gently.
5.Start cleaning roof of your mouth and tongue.
Dentist Dr. Benley George's  Response
Hi,
Scaling of teeth by a dentist should be once in 6 months. Flossing once a day improves gingival health. Clean your tongue using a tongue scraper after brushing your teeth. Change your tooth brush every 3 months. Consult your dentist atleast once in 6 months.
