Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello doctor i am having itching for the past one month. i went to the doctor last week. now taking rupanex tablet on alternate days. itching has reduced. but i am worried about my blood test as my sgpt and sgot levels are 142u/l and 44u/l, lympho-55%, eosino-4%
In liver affection itching can occur.... Here USG or liver scan done to rule out if gall stone , fatty liver or cholangitis preset.... Viral marker study by ELISA can be done for hepatitis virus B, C , A or E.....
Meanwhile low fat diet taken with more fruits.... Green leafy veg more... Avoid alcohol... Junk foods and non veg avoided....
Regular follow up done....
If hepatitis b diagnosed then repeat test for it done after 6 month to exclude Carrier....
Take care....
