Yes- if you feel very thirsty and pass urine many times at night u might have diabetes and should always get your blood test done. Also if you lose weight suddenly but still feel hungry. One more thing is that you feel very tired easily also. But to confirm you have to get blood test done there is no other way.

Cardinal signs are: increased thirst, increased hunger and increased urine output. If you notice these symptoms or if you have any risk factor like obesity, family history, alcohol intake......then it is recomended that you undergo the diagnostic tests i.e: fasting blood sugar, and glucose tolerance test. Please consult your doctor to have these investigations done. Alos bear in mind that if you have risk factors you need to run these tests regularly so that any deviation can be detected early.
