How To Interpret Urine Analysis?
Hi. My urinalysis results are as follows:
Macroscopic
1. urine color - yellow
2. transparency - slightly turbid
3. reaction - 5.0
4. specific gravity - 1.015
5. protein - trace
6. sugar - negative
Microscopic
7. pus cells - 10-15/HPF
8. RBC - 2-3/HPF
9. Epithelial cell - few
10. amorphous urates - few
11. bacteria - few
12. mucus threads - few
no interpretations/remarks

Thanks for writing to HCM
You are suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI).
This is indicated by turbid urine colour and presence of bacteria,pus cells,RBS,mucus thread,epithelial cells etc.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,Random blood sugar,Renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Further investigations can be done if needed.
Ultrasound of abdomen can detect other associated pathology.
At present you need proper antibiotics after culture and sensitivity report.
