How To Interpret A Sonography Report?

20 years, 5 ft, 38 kg. I have used medical abortion using mifepristone & misoprostol tablet. The following are the comments of my sonogrophy report after 9 days of using the tablet: No viable gestational sac is seen. Uterus is normal in size, There is fluid and debris noted in endometrium. Could you please help me to understand it

Hello,
I have gone through your query. Here is your answer. The abortion medication causes separation of the gestation sac from the uterine wall, depletes it of its blood supply and kills it. The medication also causes contraction of the uterus thereby helping to expel the separated sac. Your abortion resulted in expulsion of the gestation sac as per the sonogram findings. The debris found is parts of separated membranes etc. These can get expressed in normal menstrual flow. If you have any persistent bleeding, you should get further help from an expert. Hope this helps.
