How To Increase Hb Count During Pregnancy?

before pregnant my hb was 10.9. as soon i got pregnant it started reducing till it reached to 8.4 in my fourth mths of pregnancy. doctor predicted orofer sirop and it rose to 8.8 now. now am five mths pregnant. please provide me with other tips to rise my hb?

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
You have moderate anemia. It need to be cured as early as possible. Continue taking Iron supplement. Try to take it with lemon or orange juice as Vitamin C increases iron absorption. Start taking Folic acid 5 mg daily, after consulting your doctor. Avoid taking iron within two hours of milk, coffee, tea or calcium as they reduce iron absorption. Eat a diet rich in proteins, fruits & vegetables.
Be regular with your medicines.
