Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question. I am sorry you daughter has been ill.Generally speaking, the use of over-the-counter cough and cold medications is not recommended in this age group. Regardless, a patient of any age who has been wheezing for one week should be examined by a doctor. Without knowing the underlying cause of the symptoms, it is difficult to prescribe a treatment plan. I recommend consulting with your doctor.
