How To Heal Bee Stung Mediated Itchy Swollen Foot With Purple Bruise While On Steroid Cream And Phernergyn?

My 13 year old daughter was stung on bottom of foot 3 days ago. It happened at night. We assumed it was from a bee or hornet. She got stinger out and I iced and gave her panadol and put her to bed. For two days it was extremely itchy and swollen and red. Took her to dress yesterday he gave her steroid cream to apply twice a day and prescribed phernergyn for itch. She went to school today and has come home with still swollen but turning purple should I be worried?

Yes you should be worried.
I am not really sure of your doctors therapy because i have not seen the lesion.

In my patient, I would probably have started the child on systemic steroid too, not just the cream form. Systemic steroid means iv or tablet form of medicine.

Of course this would need to be with antibiotics as well.

i will also suggest a complete hemogram and serum IgE
