It was worse as a kid but I still have these patches of dry skin on my legs. It looks like scales when I put lotion on it but when I step out the shower the patches are really white and flaky I been wondering what it is for the longest and I don t know. It gets a little itchy sometimes. Theses patches just wont go away. I don t want to know why my legs are like this and how I can t get rid of it

Hi.
As per your case history of dry flaky skin on legs, my treatment advice is -
1. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it.
2. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
