How To Get Rid Of The White Spots On My Lips?

Dear Dr., I am having white spots on my both lips. using melgain and stopping smoking helped me. But its not gone yet wholly in terms of color change. but the size of different color skin is same as it was before. Please suggest me some way to get single colored lips.

As per your complain white spots on lips in case if they are discolouration over the skin of lips caused by decreased pigmentation then it can be Vitiligo patches which occurs when the melanin producing cells are destroyed in certain areas of the skin leading to hypopigmented spots..

You shuld consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and he can also advise investigations like biopsy or blood investigation for confirmation..

In case if Vitiligo is confirmed as the cause it can be treated with the help steroids based creams applied on lips.
You can also apply medications that can help in initiating growth of melaocytes like Melgain lotion that is effective particularly for lips..
A herbal prepation known as Gingko Biloba can be used as it helps in repigmentation..
You can also go for lazer treatment that is considered effective than all other treatments in treating Vitiligo patches..
