How To Get Rid Of Severe Sinus Infection?
I have had a severe sinus infection for a week now... I am completely unable to breathe out my nose, and my tonsils are so big that even breathing out my mouth is hard. I have been to a doctor and he has prescribed medicine that I have been taking, but it's doing nothing to help my throat. I have red and white lumps on my tonsils, and even swallowing water beings me to tears, it's so painful. My doctor seemed to think the meds would help my throat too, but every day I continue to get worse. I am in so much pain, and even pain meds like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen aren't helping anymore. Is this common with a sinus infection, or is it something else?

It is not only Sinus infection. You also have severe Tonsils infection and this is not a case to be dealt on such conservative therapy. Mostly there is need of a surgery. Maybe you have nasal Polyp or have a deviated nasal septum and that needs a surgical correction. Medicines don't work in these cases. And for tonsils, we have to see if this is manageable through medicines or surgery is inevitable.
Please go to an Otorhinolaryngologist for proper evaluation and treatment and he will go for complete evaluation and will treat according to the lab results.
