How To Get Rid Of Itchy Skin All Over The Body?

I HOPE YOU CAN HELP! I HAVE HAD ITCHY SKIN , ALL OVER, SOMETIMES MORE PRONOUNCED IN SOME AREAS, BUT USUALY MORE ABOVE THE WAIST, FOR A YEAR OR MORE. I HAVE BEEN TO SEE 2- 3 DOCTORS BUT NONE HAS COME UP WITH A SOLUTION. I HAVE BEEN USING Sarna as a relief. Have used stronger medicines, such as Triamcinalone and Fluocinonide, but want to stay away from them as I understand they can thin the skin.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Prolonged itching can be related to different possible causes such as: (1) allergies
(2)liver or kidney disease
(3)thyroid disease
(4)infection such as scabies or lice
(5)side effect of medication

It would be best to have bloods done to check the kidney, liver and thyroid.

You may also want to consider allergy testing if this is a possibility for you. Allergy testing can be in the form of blood tests or skin prick testing

I hope this helps
