Hi Doctor I am diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I have been noticing that the skin on my lower legs have spots that look like freckles. I had never had this problem before. Are these two problems related? What can i do to treat the discoloration on my lower legs? THANK YOU
Hi. As per your case history of dark spots on lower limb, my treatment advice is - 1. Hyperthyroidism can lead to such pigmented lesions. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily. 3. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months.
