Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi .. i had a minor burning from cooking on my hand .. it is smaller than a cent coin but the scar is painful and doesn't seem any better.. I am really worried about the mark which i wanted to prevent it from happening do you have any suggestion.. such as ointment or any other possible treatments?
Thanks for your query . The healing of the burnt mark will depend upon the severity of the condition .
I would suggest you to icing of the affected area sevseral times a day , massage with vitamin ER oil twice daily , massage with mixture of yogurt and turmeric powder and use of cream dermefface FX7 for few weeks will be very effective . You can also use cream mederma under expert advice .
If condition doesn't resolve in 2-3 weeks then consult dermatologist for proper evaluation and treatment . Doctor may recommend steroid injection, skin graft or dermabrassion.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
