How To Get Relieved From A Congested Nose And A Screeching Ear?

I've been congested really bad for two days, it seems to be getting worse. I blew my nose and my right ear made a screeching popping noise and i got extremely disoriented for a good two minutes i was spinning and couldn't hear out of that ear. Now that ear is just sore. why did this happen and what should i do?

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have problem congested nose and popping noise in ear along with dizziness . Well the symptoms you mention in query like dizziness can occur due to many reasons like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) are ear infection , hypoglycemia , anemia , meniere's disease , migraine , acoustic neuroma and alteration in he blood circulation . The popping noise occurring due to (ETD) eustachian tube dysfunction which occur due to entering of saliva from pharynx due to post nasal drip or upper respiratory track . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for test like throat swab test , CT scan for sinusitis , viral culture test , posturography , rotatory chair and examination with otoscope . Doctor may order antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) , decongestant and expectorant . For now do warm saline gargles and take steam .
