How To Get Off Dexilant?

I have been on Dexilant 60 mg for three+ years and it is effective but wonder if I will ever get off it. If I miss a day or 2 I can tell right away. I had an ulcer that has healed and very strong GERD with stage D esophagitis when I was diagnosed with an endoscopy.

Hi,

Dxilant (PPI) should never be taken beyond eight week because it may cause the harmful side effects like chlorhydria, bone fracture, cutaneous changes, endocrine system changes, instead better to change the life style, with eight week course of PPI. It heals the lesions once it is cured the illness then patients needs to change the life style, first is no stress second, no smoking, alcohol, no coffee prior to bed no spicy or heavy meal prior to sleep, eat more alkali food, like green vegetable, and its juices.

Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
