How To Get Back Voice After Sinus Congestion And Cough?
On December 9, I lost my voice comletely following 5 days of sinus congestion and a dry, hacking cough. It went from hoarse to GONE during a 4 hour meeting. Got a Kenalog shot and z-pack on 12/13. Voice started to come back on 12/18 but still is weak, raspy and I feel like there is a ball of cotton in my throat. It's been 3 weeks and I'm starting to worry. Have minimized my talking as much as possible and try to speak softly (not whisper) when I do talk.

As per your query you have lost your voice after having sinusitis and cough . well sometimes infection like sinusitis through post nasal drip from upper respiratory track spread to larynx specially in case od low immunity or when infection remain untreared , I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles , apply warm compresse to larynx externally and take steam thrice a day , Consult ENT specialist for proper examination , DOctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test , blood test and examinatiin with laryngoscope , sometimes doctor main order CT scan of neck , Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin at least for a week along with anti inflammatory , decongestants and expectorant .
