hai, my name is dheeraj. my father is a alcoholic and i want him to leave it now. i`ve heard that de-addiction centres are there in government hospitals in bangalore can i take him there? but he is not willing to come, will they gave any medicine within a day so that the work is finished on that day itself or should he be admitted there.

for deaddiction process admission of the patient is needed for observation and good compliance. if you can manage him at home you can visit the opd and can start the treatment at home. but make sure he will not start drinking during the treatment. if possible its better to admit. you can consult a local psychiatrist for the treatment at home.
