How To Get A Bone Replacement Surgery Done?

I'm reserching bone replacement surgery for a project. My mother broke her right humerus and it was replaced with a metal rod and screws. I'm having a very difficult time finding information on it and was wondering if it would be possible for you to point me in the right direction.

Hello,
There is nothing like bone replacement. Your mother had fracture and that fracture was fixed with plate and screws. it was not replaced. Bone replacement is done for cancer where large part of bone is removed and endoprosthesis is implanted inside. Also there is some time cancerous bone is radiated and then replaced back. There is also some bone bank where you cancer bones harvested from cadavers. There are used for fixing fractures.
thanks
