How To Gain Weight Quickly?

Hi, I am 5 foot, 3.75 inches tall and weigh 101 pounds. I know I am underweight, and feel uncomfortable with my appearance, i saw a dietician today to help with the problem and she instructed me to eat 1300 calories a day and gain .5 pounds a week. My question is, if I strive to gain 3-4 pounds a week (because I am going to mexico in 2 weeks and feel extrememly uncomfortable) would that be a bad idea? and when i am on vacation for a week, do i have to stick to the .5 lb a week as well or splurge because it is all inclusive?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

At your present weight , if you wished to maintain this weight, you would need 1700 calories approximately a day.
To gain 1 pound a week , you would need to add approximately 500 calories to this daily intake and to gain 2 pounds- 1000 more calories daily.

If you use only 1300 calories daily, you will likely lose more weight.

It would be best not to exceed the 2 pounds a week weight gain.

I hope this helps
