Hi, I had bulimia for nearly 20 years and am worried now that I have caused damage to my heart. I feel my heart misses a beat sometimes. I am 45, female and on the road to recovery but if I have done damaged to my heart can I make it stronger, healthier again? Or should I be worried that the damage is done?
Hello. Occasional skipped beats are not necessarily dangerous or indicative of heart damage. But you need to get an EKG, echocardiogram, and a Holter monitor (a 24/7 EKG) to determine the nature of the skipped beats
