Hello dear, thank you for using Healthcaremagic. I read your query and understand your concern. The stage at presentation of melanoma has a significant impact on the course of the disease.Staging is determined by the tumor, node, and metastasis including microstaging of the primary melanoma and pathologic information about the regional lymph nodes after partial or complete lymphadenectomy as well .For all melanoma stages, the NCCN recommends at least annual skin examination for life and education regarding monthly self-skin exams. Acording to your medical history the doctor may recommend you to have a ct x ray,or a MRI . Hope my answer was helpful .Best regards.
