How To Diagnose A 29 Month Old Suffering From Prolonged Cough With Puffy Eyes ?

Hi Doctor ,My son is 29 months old.He has got cough since quite someime,he doesnt cough entire day may be aorund 4-5 times and in night.But when he coughs he coughs very badly.He is on medicine for almost 2-3 weeks now andat present he has been prescribed doxcef -100 dry syrup and cough syrup (dont recollect the name,but starts with tu). Pls advise

Hi, u didnt mention about the fever.
Having cough more in the night, without fever and also having disturbed sleep indicates allergic cough.
So u ve to avoid exposing ur baby to allergens like cold air, dust, smoke etc...
U can add b-agonist containing syps like levolin.
